(1) It is the first time to innovate the large displacement hand pump technology. After carrying out a large number of theoretical calculations and research on the traditional hand pump, an integrated device of hand pump or diesel engine is innovated. It is suitable for the gate lifting system, since it could be manually operated to lift or lower the gate under the condition of no power and meet the water storage or flood discharge demand of the river.
(2) The newly developed hand pump or diesel engine integrated device is recommended to be arranged on the bank of the gate where the gate body can be easily seen by the naked eye. So as to facilitate the manual observation of the lifting of the gate body when operating on the bank. There is no need to build a management room. A simple shed cabinet protection equipment is enough.
(3) The simplified elevated dam (SED) also innovates the technology of gate lowering without power. This technology could ensure that all gate bodies of the whole line will fall automatically under the condition of no electricity, no power source and no one on duty when the water retaining height reaches the pre-set height. This function is of great significance to the safe flood discharge of rivers with special flood discharge requirements under extreme weather conditions such as heavy rain. It is especially suitable for unmanaged mountainous areas without power.
The development of simplified elevated dam (SED) fills the gap of inconvenient for building steel sluice gates in areas that are lack of power supply. The biggest advantage is that there is no need for electricity. The development of this product is based on the field investigation of many Southeast Asian countries and power-free areas in China. Combined with the economic conditions of the above areas and based on the design of Hydraulic elevator dam, a new manually operated gate suitable for power-free areas is develop. This product could be used for raising water level, water storage and irrigation. It can also be used for flood detention and discharge.
