Bic Engineer Went to Hed Project Site and Carried out Technical Guidance in Thailand

In March 2023, BIC won the bidding and signed Thailand PPY and Phuket HED project contract. Undertaking the bottom slab pouring of hydraulic elevator dam, embedded parts construction, and civil construction guidance work in accordance with the contract clause.

The civil construction work began in September and dam surface installation work began in November. At present, the installation and acceptance work of PPY HED project has finished. Due to climate factors, project site experiences continuous rainy and overcast weather every day, resulting in an extension of the entire civil engineering compared to the expected timeline. It is estimated that Phuket HED project will be completed in late December.

At the request of owner, BIC dispatched engineer Zhu to the construction site on November 1 to inspect the construction and carry out installation guide for hydraulic elevator dam. Currently, the project is processing smoothly.

Project Details

The scale of PPY HED project is 24m long and 1.6m high, 2 spans in total. The scale of Phuket HED project is 40m long and 1.33m high, 4 spans in total. The purpose of building sluices is to increase agricultural irrigation and raise the water level.
